Description
Built for dense, hard granite
Granite’s density and mineral structure demand a blade that holds speed without glazing or burning. The Rhinostone Tornado 6″ uses a granite-tuned bond and a reinforced core to maintain cutting rate, reduce deflection and deliver cleaner edges on counters, vanities, panels and cladding.
Tornado rim: speed, airflow and debris evacuation
The Tornado rim (spiral/turbo-segmented gullets) promotes airflow and debris removal, helping the blade run cooler at higher feed rates. You get faster throughput than basic continuous rims while keeping edge chipping under control on hard natural stone.
Wet or dry operation (wet recommended)
Run the blade dry or wet depending on site conditions. For best edge quality, dust control and blade longevity, use water whenever possible. If cutting dry, keep a steady feed, avoid forcing the last millimeters, and allow brief cooling pauses on long passes.
Applications
-
Granite countertops, backsplashes, vanities and wall panels
-
On-site notches, outlets, plunge cuts and miters
-
Also suitable for select hard natural stones (test feed/RPM first)
Why choose Rhinostone Tornado for granite?
-
Granite-optimized bond → retains cutting speed on dense minerals
-
Tornado rim → faster cuts with controlled chipping and better cooling
-
Low-vibration core → straighter tracking, smoother edges and less operator fatigue
Safety & operating guidance
-
Match blade diameter, arbor size and max RPM to your grinder
-
Wear PPE (eye/ear protection, respirator, gloves)
-
For wet cuts, ensure controlled water delivery; for dry cuts, manage heat and dust
-
On visible edges/miters, score first, then finish with consistent pressure
