Description
Built for extremely hard natural stone
Quartzite is among the hardest natural stones, so general-purpose blades tend to slow down and chip on visible edges and miters. Rhinoblade Quartzite Cut & Grind is purpose-built for this hardness, maintaining speed, stability and edge quality on a 5″ handheld grinder. The optimized diamond matrix keeps tracking smooth while resisting glazing and premature wear.
Cut & grind versatility in one blade
Switch seamlessly between straight cuts, plunge/notch work, and edge refinement without changing tools. The cutting rim is tuned for chip-minimized edges on dense slabs, while the side diamonds support controlled grinding and small bevels to clean up edges on site—ideal for outlets, corners and final adjustments.
Clean, chip-minimized edges with better control
A reinforced, low-vibration core limits deflection so the blade stays on line. The result is smoother edges with fewer micro-chips, less rework, and faster finishing—especially valuable on exposed edges and miters where quality matters most.
Wet or dry use (wet recommended)
The blade supports dry or wet operation. For the best edge quality, cooling and blade life, use water whenever site conditions allow. If cutting dry, use steady, moderate feed and brief cooling pauses to manage heat.
Applications
-
Quartzite countertops, vanities, panels and cladding
-
Field adjustments: outlets, corners, notches and onsite edge clean-ups
-
Select hard granites and other dense natural stones (match RPM/feed and test first)
Why choose Rhinoblade for quartzite?
-
Engineered for quartzite hardness → maintains cutting speed and reduces chipping vs. general blades
-
Two-in-one utility → cutting + edge shaping in one tool for faster workflows
-
Handheld control → perfect when a bridge saw isn’t available on site
Safety & operating guidance
-
Match the arbor size and maximum RPM to your grinder’s specifications
-
Use appropriate PPE (eye/ear protection, mask, gloves)
-
For wet cuts, ensure proper water delivery; for dry cuts, control dust and heat
-
Make multiple light passes on miters and keep a consistent feed rate

Specifications (example fields)
-
Tool type: 5″ handheld angle grinder
-
Recommended method: Wet preferred; dry permitted with steady feed
-
Materials: Quartzite (primary); test first on other dense stones
-
Operator tips: Score first, then finish; moderate feed; cool between passes when dry
Pro tips (better finish on quartzite)
-
Score, then finish: Start with a shallow scoring pass, then complete the cut at a steady feed.
-
Control your feed: Keep consistent pressure—don’t rush the final millimeters.
-
Use water when possible: Improves edge quality, cools the blade and extends life.
-
Miters: Make multiple light passes and dress the edge with brief side-grind touches.
